Without Clothes On, What is the Human Skin?
Since the evolution of the upright walking Homo Sapien species which shed it's excess hair, humankind adapted itself to the natural world it had to survive in. Humankind lived without clothing as we know today for millions of years. How did our skin adapt to the natural environment? Via reaction, evolution, adaptation. This process did not include petro-chemicals, plastics, artificial perfumes and chemically produced skin enhancers and parabens.
Within the last one century (only) humankind has had to adapt to chemically produced skin enhancers and "protectors" , thus our biological structure has had to RE-EVOLVE and RE-ADAPT to these chemical components, many of which penetrate way below the upper dermis into the basal layers of the skin and even into the bloodstream. Some of us adapt without visible reactions, but some of us do not. Many of us have mild to moderate reactions to these chemicals with symptoms such as rashes, redness, itching (contact dermatitis) or develop pimples or mild eczema. Some of us have more serious reactions, such as psoriasis, severe eczema, allergies, inflammations and swellings. Some of us may even become medically ill. Our biological structure refuses to accept these chemicals into cells. The continued use of these chemically enhanced products also ages our skin faster, as our bodies have to work harder to fight against the harming effects of the chemicals, thus we see more women wrinkling in their 30s onwards, despite their best efforts to stay out of the sun, exercise and pamper their skin. Do we ask ourselves, WHY?
Therefore, if you are one of the humankind who suffers from these skin probkems, you may seek the help of qualified dematologists, but as some of you have found out by experience, the products used by most dermatologists only have short term effects, or none at all. Many of our clients have learned this after years of expensive treatments and buying branded creams and lotions at exorbitant prices. Then it is time to try alternative skin care, such as organic and natural products that do not contain any of the chemicals that our biology has not adapted to since homosapiens first walked the earth.
Do your research, ask questions, observe your family's health history and respect your genes. If you are one of the sensitive ones, it's a silver lining, because your genes are telling you what is bad for you and thus helping to protect you from further damage.
God Bless!

Kigelia Africana
Kigelia gel works as nature’s very own anti-aging miracle! It rejuvenates, tightens and firms skin. It also aids as a calming treatment for skin conditions such as rosacea, psoriasis and eczema.
Pure Olive Oil High in anti-oxidants and Vitamin E, olive oil is a natural sun screen, very emollient, highly moisturising (for skin & hair) and great for sensitive skin and babies. Plantain Banana Skin Full of vitamins, minerals, protein and natural zinc, banana is a fantastic anti-aging ingredient due to its natural tissue-building elements. Also helps to calm and soothe allergies, rashes or insect bites. Mafura Butter Rich in essential fatty acids (palmitic, stearic, oleic and linoleic) and has been shown to be antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory due to the presence of limonids such as Trichilin A. Helps to nourish, revitalise & heal the skin. Floral Hydrosols (Steam distilled) from Australia Beeswax One of nature's best skin protector, beeswax acts as an emollient and a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin and sealing it in. It also contains Vitamin A, which helps to regenerate cells, soften and rehydrate skin. Like honey, it offers anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral benefits. Cocoa Butter It is super emollient and helps to soften, protect and heal dry skin, chapped lips/hands, stretch-marks and pregnant skin; aids in soothing irritated skin; and with added essential oils, helps to erase wrinkles particularly on the chest area, neck (called turkey neck), around the eyes, and at the corners of the mouth. Great as a winter travel stick to avoid dry skin. Pure Witch Hazel A natural astringent. Often used to treat skin irritations, inflammation, insect bites and burns. Witch hazel also works particularly well on acne and blemish-prone skin, helps to heal, remove excess oil and reduce open pores & redness. Witch hazel can also be used as a cleansing lotion for the female genital area. It is gentle, calming and controls smelliness and itching caused by urine and sweat. It makes a much better wash than commercial solutions that contain hormone disrupting chemicals. |
Plant-based Hyaluronic Acid
We are all born with hyaluronic acid in the skin tissues. It enables our skin to regenerate cells. It helps to keep our skin plump by retaining water – like a sponge – able to carry a thousand times its own weight! It plays an absolutely vital role in tissue hydration and moisturization as it smoothes the skin surface, softens and decreases wrinkles, and even protects cell structure – defending it against bacterial attacks. Although Hyaluronic Acid cannot be found naturally in plants, commercial skincare manufacturers use versions derived from rooster comb or animal cartilage because it is cheaper. Unless you don’t mind slathering yourself with animal cartilage or bits of a rooster (eeww!) , be sure to check that any skincare product you purchase uses PLANT-based hyaluronic acid. Patented in 2009, the Japanese developed a plant-based hyaluronic acid by producing enzymes from a bacteria-based bio-fermentation process that it is 100% animal free. Jojoba Oil Jojoba oil has anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial properties and is very easily absorbed by the upper layers of the skin. It can be used as an aid for curing diseases such as cancer malignancy, kidney disorders and treating skin conditions including acne, skin bacteria, epidermis fungi and skin psoriasis by being a "carrier" of other important and beneficial ingredients due to it's ability to mimic natural sebum and be quickly absorbed by the pores. Pure Aloe Gel A rich emollient known to promote healing to damaged or dry hair and skin. Aloe is soothing, moisturising, softening and hydrating. It helps to calm irritated skin and alleviates the effects of UV radiation (after-sun care). Pure Aloe gel is also excellent for minor burns and scalds and not only cools the burn but also heals the area and promotes new skin growth that is smooth and even. We know this from personal experience after being burned on the face by hot oil. A 20-cent coin size burn was healed by aloe and there is no mark left from the burn damage. Shea Butter Shea butter has been used to help heal burns, sores, scars, dermatitis, psoriasis, dandruff, and stretch marks. It also helps diminish wrinkles by moisturizing the skin, promoting cell renewal, and increasing circulation. Shea butter contains Vitamins A & E, and also cinnamic acid, a substance that helps protect the skin from harmful UV rays. However, we recommend a patch test for shea as a small minority of people seem to have sensitivity to it. Pure Essential Oils & Herbal Extracts
We include pure essential oils and herbal extracts in all our custom blended products, as well as for additional benefit for clients with specific skin issues. All our oils and extracts are imported from Australia, USA and Canada. We DO NOT use any extracts from China, India or any third world countries unless they are certified organic or natural by an international certification authority. |
