Anti Wrinkle Smoothie Ingredients: 1/2 cup non-fat or low-fat chocolate milk (or vanilla if you prefer!) 1/4 cup unsweetened green tea 3/4 cup frozen mixed raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries - Blend together until you have desired consistency - enjoy! Natural Glow Smoothie 1/2 cup water 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped 1/2 stalk celery (1/2 cup) 2 cups of chopped spinach 1/3 apple or pear, cored and chopped 1/3 banana 1-2 tbsp of fresh lemon juice Optional: 1/4 bunch cilantro (or coriander), 1/4 bunch parsley, chopped (leaves and/or stems are ok) For newbies, the taste might be a little green', so try adding some fresh orange and fresh mint leaves! On a low speed, blend the romaine lettuce with water first, slowly adding the rest of ingredients. Add banana and lemon juice last. Add or reduce amount of water added according to the consistency you like. Within a week or two, you will notice a healthy glow from the inside out! Cleansing Papaya & Berries Juice 1/2 papaya, chopped (or one small one) 1/2 cup raspberries A squeeze of fresh lime juice This simple juice mix will help to cleanse your insides, and give you a boost of vitamins and anti-oxidants, and aids digestion. Poor digestion can often show on the skin in the ugly form of blackheads or breakouts. Papaya helps improve digestion, which in turn cleanses your intestines. This is reflected on your skin, giving you cleaner skin, finer pores and a healthy pores. PMS Recovery Juice Give those horrible symptons from PMS the boot! This juice will help reduce bloating and fluid retention, as well as lift your mood. :) Greek yoghurt (low fat, sugar-free), 3/4 cup Peaches (seeded, chopped), 2 Red apples (seeded, chopped), 2 1/2 Banana (peeled, chopped) Strawberries (leaves removed, quartered), 2-3 Basil, 2 sprigs Blend the yoghurt and fruits first, adding the basil last. Papaya & Oatmeal Exfoliating Mask
- 1/4 cup papaya flesh, seeds removed and mashed (preferably papaya that's slightly unripe) - 2 heaped tablespoons rolled oatmeal - 2 tablespoons natural yoghurt or greek yoghurt (ensure there is no sugar or flavours in the yoghurt) - 1 tablespoon raw honey (manuka works great!) Mix well (or blend with clean food processor if you want a smooth paste) and apply onto face. Gently scrub with fingertips in soft circular motion, concentrating on your T-zone. Leave on for 1/2 hour, wash-off and reveal smooth, glowing skin! Avocados ~ Nature's Green Gem

Mix well and apply all over face (and neck) except eye area. For Eye De-stresser: Use the other half of the avocado. Cut 2 medium slices (vertically) and place under your eyes after applying the face mask. Leave face and eye mask for 30 minutes then wash off. If you have oily skin, apply natural hydrosol toner such as Pure Witch Hazel. Epsom Salt Bath Soak
250g Epsom Salts (can be found in any supermarket)
125g baking soda Tub of warm water Add ingredients into the warm water, using your hand to stir the water and dissolve the bath salts. Soak for 20 – 30 minutes and relax! The minerals in the salt will help you to de-stress, relieve tension in your muscles, and soften your skin. If you have Lavender essential oil handy, add about 10 drops to the bath salt mix before adding it to the warm water for an extra calming and relaxing soak! Anti-Ageing and Whitening Fruit Masque
Half Cup white grapes
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 1 tablespoon fresh full cream yogurt Half cup white kaolin clay - Mash the grapes. - Mix all ingredients thoroughly (add more clay if not thick enough) - Apply thick layer to face, neck and decollette (avoiding eye area). - if there is extra, apply on hands and elbows as well. Leave on for 20 - 30 minutes. Rinse and tone with natural toner. Apply day cream if staying indoors, sunblock if going out. |
